Plenty of Fresh Beans Ready for Delivery Now. Updated January 23, 2013
It’s cold where I live, what should I do to be sure the beans survive?
The beans are sensitive to temps at or below freezing, if they freeze during shipment (or after delivery, as is most often the case) they will probably not survive. The post office does not let the beans freeze during delivery. There is a live delivery guarantee and this covers freezing during shipment. Simply contact Beandaddy at the link on the bottom of the page to ask for replacement beans.
Do not let the beans sit outside in cold weather (like a mailbox outside), you should meet the mail-person if possible or bring the beans inside immediately. If this is not possible, please use a shipping address where the mail is delivered inside, such as an office, a school, or a church.
Can I specify a shipping date so I can order early for Christmas Delivery?
Yes, simply e-mail Beandaddy at the link below immediately after ordering. Tell me the day you want them to ship and I will send them out via U.S. first class mail on that day. Try to use the same email address you used for the paypal order when contacting me, that way I can match it with your order. If possible, make a note in your calendar to remind me to ship, that way I know that you are expecting them also.
Can I specify different address other than my own?
Yes, do that when you checkout through paypal, or simply e-mail Beandaddy at the link below immediately after ordering. Tell me the address you want me to ship them to. Try to use the same email address you used for the paypal order when contacting me, that way I can match it with your order.
I don’t have a paypal account, may I still order beans with a credit card?
Yes. A paypal account is not required to use our shopping cart, you may elect to pay by credit card without opening a paypal account. We use paypal for our transactions, safe and secure. Mypetbeans does not receive your credit card information. (PayPal does, but they thankfully do not share that information with us.)
How long will the beans last?
The beans will “last” longer if they are kept active. Playing with them for a bit each day will help them delay pupation, where they are sleeping before they turn into a moth.
Hydrate the beans by soaking them for 3 or 4 hours in de-chlorinated water. Allow to air dry. They will be a little sluggish for about a day, but will soon be back to their frisky self. Don’t worry, the beans will not drown.
The beans may be moving still after 3 or 4 months if they are cared for in this way.
Can you handle overnight shipping?
In some cases, yes, but it is a little expensive ($30.00 through Federal Express). Please ask beandaddy by sending a note; click on the “Contact Beandaddy with Questions or Concerns” at the bottom of this page.
Can you track my shipment?
No, the beans are sent via the U.S. mail and tracking is not available.
What if I have another question that is not answered here?
